Call for Applications – Climate Media Fellowship 2012
The Heinrich Boell Foundation welcomed applications for its Climate Media Fellowship 2012. The EU and Germany have embarked on an ambitious transition toward a low carbon economy where great emphasis is placed on the role of increased energy efficiency and renewable energy in securing economic opportunities for business and industry. The goal of the Climate Media Fellowship is to familiarize US energy experts with the European and German experiences and policy solutions and communicate these into the US policy debate on a local, regional and national level.
Who can apply
The Climate Media Fellowship is open to media journalists from the United States who are eager to learn and report about the European and/or German energy transition in the U.S. Ideally, the reports and articles resulting from the Climate Media Fellows’ research will subsequently be published widely across the United States.
What we offer
The Heinrich Boell Foundation supports the Climate Media Fellow in setting up adequate meeting schedules in Europe. The Foundation also covers all travel logistics as well as an honorarium fee for a 3-4 day long research trip to Europe.
Climate Media Fellows may choose their own field of study within the energy and climate realm and decide on the time of their research trip between April and September 2012.
