Sur Place Programme

Russia, Central America and South Caucasus

The Heinrich-Böll-Foundation maintains three Sur-Place-Scholarship Programmes for selected regions which offer scholarships to non-German undergraduate and postgraduate students abroad. The programmes are funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Federal Foreign Office (AA). The foundation’s respective regional offices in Moscow, Mexico-City, Sarajevo and Tbilisi are in charge of the selection process and support the successful candidates.

Sur-Place-Scholarship Programme Southern Caucasus

- In December 2003, the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation established a Sur-Place-Programme for young professionals in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The scholarship holders engage in research about contemporary history, critical sociology and sustainable development in the Caucasus Region. more»
