New constitution: Kenyan Member of Parliament awarded with German Prize

Last year the people of Kenya approved a new democratic constitution.

The Member of Parliament Abdikadir Mohamed Hussein is chairman of the Parliamentary Constitution Implementation Oversight Committee of the Parliament of Kenya. In this position, he was responsible for the implementation of the new and democratic constitution.

On September 21, German President Christian Wullf awarded him with the German Africa Prize 2011.

In an audio interview, he talks about the benefits of the new constitution, the Kenyan bill of rights and his countries role in the international community.
