Following from a workshop organized by the Heinrich Böll Foundation Southeast Asia Regional Office and IRASEC, the book Current Electoral Processes in Southeast Asia - Regional Learnings provides an opportunity for experts from six Southeast Asian countries to decipher the issues, consequences and expectations of elections in the Philippines, Malaysia, Timor-Leste, Thailand, Cambodia and Indonesia. It draws regional comparisons, parallels and contrasts, and identifies broad regional trends in the functioning of electoral systems and the political institutions on which they are based.
