Mona Neubaur was born in 1977 in Pöttmes (Bavaria). After graduating from high school, she studied psychology, sociology and education at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, which she successfully completed in 2003.

After her studies, she worked for the alternative energy provider NATURSTROM AG in the field of communication.

From 2007-2014, Mona Neubaur worked at the Heinrich Böll Foundation North Rhine-Westphalia, since 2010 as managing director.

From 2007-2015 she was spokesperson for the Düsseldorf district association of Alliance 90/The Greens. In 2014, she was elected state chairperson of Alliance 90/The Greens North Rhine-Westphalia. In this function, she is responsible for the policy fields of climate and environmental policy, transport, digitalisation and democracy, among others.

Mona Neubaur is experienced in the Heinrich Böll Foundation network. The productive exchange between the foundation, the party, associations, business and civil society is particularly important to her.
