Jax is an ecologist and professor at the department for Restoration Ecology of the TU Munich. He is also a senior scientist at the UFZ Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig. Jax's research focuses on the acceptance of nature conservation measures in Germany and worldwide. He further conducts interdisciplinary research on strategies and concepts of applied nature conservation.
