Europe has had great importance for equal rights and emancipation up to now. The politics of the European Union (EU) has strongly influenced advanced regulations in single member countries. But a lot of progress at the EU level is not realized locally and on a regional level in several countries or it is simply ignored. Does one succeed in developing the trendsetting gender-political initiatives, measures and instruments of the EU further? Or does the alliance of conservative forces win more weight in European politics?
The programme "Europe for Citizens" starts from here and pools various activities in the field of gender equality: disussions, conferences, web dossiers, and blogs. These activities provide a plattform for reflexions on tolerance promotion, gender equality, protection of fundamental rights and address both the citizens loss of trust in national governments and European institutions and the associated insecurities.

This activity aims to strengthen locally and regionally active female entrepreneurs and executives in organizations, that are engaged in womens rights in Poland and that demand a stronger role of women in both the public sphere and politics. Regular meetings and trainings pave the ground for an intense exchange of experience and networking. These then can lead to an even more efficient civic commitment. The project also aims the generate knowledge about the target group so that a pomotion of their needs can be addressed even better in the future.

The seminar is a contribution for a positive change of the image foreigners in Poland have – even if they are well qualified, efficient and speaking the Polish language. It sheds a light on the adminsitration procedures the are required in Poland. At the same time questions will be discussed how a quicker integration can be managed successfully.
