Marilene de Paula is the program coordinator for the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Brazil in the area of Human Rights. She has a degree in History from Rio de Janeiro State University and a master's degree in Culture and Social Projects from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV). Together with civil society institutions, she has organized campaigns against and debates about police brutality and in defense of human rights.
