Carolina Gamazo Aramedia (author of "Nuevas formas de protesta estudiantil") is a Spanish journalist with a degree from the University of Navarra. She arrived in Guatemala in 2010 to work for the newspaper Prensa Libre. Since then she has also worked for El Periódico and the digital newspaper Plaza Pública. She has collaborated with international media such as El País and the Los Angeles Times and has worked as a tutor for regional journalism courses. In 2017 she co-founded the digital platform for investigative journalism No Ficción in Guatemala.
