Priya Gopalan is a Malaysian lawyer specializing in international criminal law and human rights.  She has held several roles in the field of transitional justice including, prosecutor and appeals counsel at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, Legal Advisor for sexual and gender-based crimes at the IIIM Syria and Senior Advisor at the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission of The Gambia. She served on the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, as the member of the Asia-Pacific region and Chair-Rapporteur. Priya was an expert reviewer of the JRR UN Women Guidance Note and Practice Tool on Intersectionality.
