Dr. Irene Dawa Peace is a feminist peace and conflict scholar, humanitarian practitioner, and Founder of CEPAD in Uganda, with over 15 years of experience across Africa, the Middle East, the Pacific, and Southeast Asia. She holds a PhD in Management Science specialising in Peace and Conflict Prevention and has contributed to international research, policy dialogue, and feminist advocacy on women’s leadership, humanitarian action, refugee protection, and conflict-related gender-based violence. Dr. Dawa is also an Honorary Research Fellow in the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Exeter, where her current work explores the intersection of gender, displacement, religion, and post-conflict recovery in Africa.
