Max Alexander Matthey is a political economist at Witten/Herdecke University. With Prof. Aidan Hollis (University of Calgary) he presented the first independent economic stress test of the Tropical Forest Forever Facility (TFFF); together they are writing the book Missing Billions on the history of rainforest protection and the financing of the fund. 

In his academic newsletter [Missing Billions], read by around 800 subscribers ranging from the World Bank to the BMZ, KfW and Norad, he puts new developments around the TFFF into context.
