Joumana Seif blickt vor einem neutralen Hintergrund in die Kamera

Time to move in the right direction

Interview
In the Syrian case the international community failed to prove that human rights are also for the Syrian people, that everyone has the right to be protected. Twelve years of this ongoing war – and the international community did not do anything for the democratization of the country, they only offered humanitarian help. Interview with the winner of the Anne Klein Women's Award 2023, Joumana Seif.

Decolonial Dialogues 2023

Series of events
In four digital conversations, central aspects of a postcolonial relational ethic between Africa and Europe will be discussed. After the introductory session on the content and direction of decolonisation, it will be about cooperation after the restitution of colonial looted property. The third discussion asks about fair conditions for reciprocal mobility between the continents. The last dialogue of the series deals with African and European attitudes towards the human-nature relationship.

Germany's Feminist Foreign and Development Policy: Need for Changes in Relations with the South Caucasus

Analyse
The German government is in the process of spelling out a feminist foreign and development policy. This article, aimed at contributing to policy changes based on the new paradigm, suggests how Germany’s policy towards Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, whose political relevance has increased for Berlin due to Russia’s war in Ukraine, could become feminist.
