Anila Noor is a policy and social change expert with extensive experience in global advocacy on migration, gender equality, refugee rights, and inclusive governance. As a former refugee, she brings lived experience to her work on intersectional justice and systemic change, focusing on amplifying marginalized voices and advancing equitable, sustainable solutions.
She is the founder of New Women Connectors (NWC), an initiative that promotes women’s and youth participation in policy dialogues and supports refugee- and grassroots-led influence on decision-making and funding, based on “Nothing about us without us.” She is a 2025 P.E.A. Awards recipient, a TEDx speaker, and works with international institutions to foster inclusive policymaking and greater involvement of displaced women and youth in global governance. Anila is a member of the BMZ Action Network on Forced Displacement – Women as Agents of Change and is a Gender Ambassador for the WTO, connecting grassroots views with global policy. She’s known for her “Leading Resilience” approach and advocacy on gender, migration, and climate justice.
