Since September 2023, Derya Binışık has headed the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s Global Unit for Feminism and Gender Democracy, based in Sarajevo. From 2020 to 2023, she worked as a Policy Officer at the Foundation’s Gunda Werner Institute and as a Project Officer at DeutschPlus e.V. Her work focuses on reproductive justice, feminist financing, foreign policy and international cooperation.

Derya Binisik studied Political Science and Sociocultural Studies in Berlin, Bogotá, Edinburgh, and Frankfurt (Oder). As a feminist, she is particularly interested in how power and wealth can be distributed more equitably.
