Dr. Dorcas Nthoki Nyamai is an urban development researcher at International Planning Studies, TU Dortmund University. Her doctoral research addressed the prospects for advancing walking and cycling in Nairobi within the context of spatial justice. Nthoki previously worked with the Development Planning Unit (DPU), University College London on Complex Land Markets and Spatial Justice research in Uganda and Somaliland. 

She also worked at the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS), Erasmus University, Rotterdam where she taught and supervised the Urban Management and Development Master course.
