Edita Badasyan is a freelance journalist from Georgia, Tbilisi. She is currently a scholar with the European-Journalism Fellowships (EJF) program in Berlin.
Ms. Badasyan contributes to several independent media outlets such as Caucasian Knot, Women Connecting for Peace (a joint IWPR and UN Women project), Journal of Conflict Transformation Caucasus Edition, Chai-Khana, Jnews and also produces radio reports for German-language radios in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Her topics of interest and coverage are politics, conflicts (peacebuilding), minority rights (focusing on IDPs, LGBTI, ethnic minorities and women's rights), social problems, gender, human rights, etc. A regional project that she and is currently involved in with her colleagues from Armenia and Azerbaijan is a series of joint Articles, titled "The Taboo Topics of South Caucasus".
