Eglė Zicari holds a Master's degree in Communication and Information Sciences and has been working as a journalist for 20 years. Her experience includes working for various print and online media outlets in Lithuania, where she comes from, as well as an international news agency and one of the largest Estonian dailies. Most of the time she has been covering internal and foreign politics, human rights, European identity, and some sports, as she is a keen balloonist. In addition to that, she was a journalism lecturer for teenagers, communication coordinator in several projects, and a local fixer/interpreter for foreign journalists. In 2010-2011 she lived in Kabul where she worked as Press and Communication Officer at the European Union Delegation for Afghanistan. Currently, she lives in Germany and works as a freelance journalist.
