As of January 2025 Heike Löschmann is the Director of the Cambodia office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation (HBF). She began her work in Cambodia following the UNTAC-sponsored elections, when she laid the ground for HBF’s presence in the country. She continued as founding director of the Foundations regional programs in Thailand and Myanmar. Although she was not in Cambodia for many years, she remains familiar with the evolution of civil society over the past three decades, shaped by her comparative experiences in the CSO sector worldwide.
