Dr. theol., is a graduate in German literature and a Protestant theologian. She was a research fellow at the Institute for Social Ethics at the University of Zurich from 1983 to 1987. She obtained her doctorate in Heidelberg in 1992; her dissertation was entitled "Anthropology and the image of women in German-language theology." A freelance writer and speaker, she has been living in Wattwil, Switzerland, with her family since 1987.
