Julia Berghofer is a coordinator for the Younger Generation Leaders Network on Euro-Atlantic Security (YGLN) at the ELN. Prior to this, she has worked as a research assistant in the field of nuclear disarmament and arms control with the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin, as well as with the Munich Security Conference. She is a vice-chair of the YGLN and a member of the French Réseau Nucléaire et Strategie.

Julia holds a Bachelor's degree in Political and Communication Sciences from the LMU Munich and University of Vienna, and a Master's degree in Political Sciences from the University of Hamburg. While completing her studies, she gathered journalistic experience (with Süddeutsche Zeitung and in Cape Town, amongst others), and worked at the University of the Federal Armed Forces. She was a board member of ICAN German and German coordinator at Parliamentarians for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament (PNND).
