Laiane Santos is a 33-year-oldfeminist, a member of the CUT (Central Única dos Trabalhadores), an agricultural technician, and a popular educator. She lives in the municipality of Brasiléia. She is a sociology student, secretary of training at CUT-Acre, regional coordinator of the CNS, project coordinator for the Chico Mendes Committee, and founder and fiscal council member of the Varadouro Collective. Laiane Santos is the granddaughter and daughter of extractivists.
