Maurício Angelo is the founder and Executive Director of the Mining Observatory, a journalism and research centre focused on the extractive sector. PhD candidate in Environmental Science at the University of São Paulo (PROCAM-USP). Hold a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from the University of Brasília (CDS-UnB). Reporter with hundreds of stories published in the brazilian and international media.  Winner of the Inter-American Press Association’s Award for Excellence in Journalism (2019).
