Nirvana Bhandary is a Nepali feminist writer, filmmaker and creative practitioner. She is the founder and creative director of The Feminism Project Nepal – a women writer’s collective and digital platform for feminist storytelling, and the writer and director of the documentary Moti, Dubli, Kali, Gori: Nepali Women Reclaim Their Bodies

Nirvana’s journey as an artist is rooted in storytelling as resistance. Her work centres on amplifying the voices of women in reclaiming their narratives. She weaves oral, visual and digital storytelling to spark critical conversations about identity, agency, and resilience. Nirvana’s debut book – a collection of personal feminist essays will be published in 2025. She lives and works in Kathmandu.
