Philipp Straub studied European Studies (B.A.) at Maastricht University, Netherlands. He completed a Master's in International Affairs (M.A.) at the Università di Bologna, Italy.

He has been working at the Heinrich Böll Foundation since May 2022 and has been in the Foreign and Security Policy Department since June 2024.
