Sussan Tahmasebi is Executive Director and co-founder of Femena, an organisation that promotes women’s rights and supports women human rights defenders, their organisations and feminist movements in the SWANA region. An Iranian activist with over two decades of experience in women’s rights and peace and security advocacy, Tahmasebi has worked in Iran, at the regional and international levels. She is a founding member of the One Million Signatures Campaign and a recipient of Human Rights Watch’s Alison Des Forges Award for extraordinary activism.
