Ute Brümmer is the deputy director of the Domestic Affairs Department and is responsible for the Transformation and Sustainability program line.
From 2008 to 2024, she also served as a program officer for economics and finance at the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
Prior to that, she worked as a program officer for Labor and Social Affairs at the Heinrich Böll Foundation starting in 1999.
After studying economics and social economics in Hamburg, Ute Brümmer worked as a research associate at the Institute for Business Cycle and Structural Research at the University of Bremen starting in 1995. She is an expert in empirical, Europe-wide comparative employment research, macroeconomics, and gender-specific labor market research.
