Ute Brümmer
Head of the Transformation & Sustainability Program Line

Ute Brümmer is the deputy director of the Domestic Affairs Department and is responsible for the Transformation and Sustainability program line.

From 2008 to 2024, she also served as a program officer for economics and finance at the Heinrich Böll Foundation.

Prior to that, she worked as a program officer for Labor and Social Affairs at the Heinrich Böll Foundation starting in 1999.

After studying economics and social economics in Hamburg, Ute Brümmer worked as a research associate at the Institute for Business Cycle and Structural Research at the University of Bremen starting in 1995. She is an expert in empirical, Europe-wide comparative employment research, macroeconomics, and gender-specific labor market research.

  • Substantive leadership and coordination of the program line
  • Management and budgetary responsibility for the program line
  • Staffing plan for the program line; personnel responsibility (supervisory authority) for the program line’s employees
