Claire Smith
Senior International Campaigner
Claire joined Beyond Fossil Fuels in November 2022 as an International Campaigner. She previously worked for the Australian Government and UK Government, focusing on strategy development, strategic communications campaigning, and international partnership building across a wide range of policy issues, including climate change, clean energy transition, and international aid.
Claire holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, a Master’s degree in Strategic Communications, and has a keen interest in applying behavioural science communications to advance the global energy transition and respond more effectively to climate disasters.
Duygu Kutluay
Campaigner
Duygu pursued her academic journey with a focus on Political Science and International Relations at Bogazici University, Istanbul. She further expanded her expertise by obtaining a master’s degree in International Economic Relations from the University of Konstanz, Germany.
Duygu initially immersed herself in the realm of intercultural learning and communication at AFS Turkey, serving as the Organisational Development Director. Later, she transitioned to the role of Deputy Head of International Relations at the TEMA Foundation. Over the last three years, Duygu dedicated her efforts as the Climate and Energy Campaigner for Greenpeace Med, concentrating mostly on climate change and energy transition issues.
Pierre Terras
Program Lead, Corporate Energy Transition Campaign
Pierre joined Beyond Fossil Fuels as a Program Lead for Corporate Finance and Utilities (CFU) in January 2024. With 14 years of experience at Greenpeace across various offices and campaigns, including Food, Water Pollution, and Oceans, his journey began as a Junior Campaigner in Greenpeace Mexico. Until recently, he was the Team Leader for Climate and Energy campaigns at Greenpeace France.
Holding an MSc in International Development from Sorbonne University and Sciences Po Toulouse, Pierre is passionate about campaign strategies that drive systemic change and advocate for climate justice. Fluent in French, Spanish, and English, he is currently learning Britton. During his leisure time, he enjoys sailing, playing music, and tennis.
