Alessandra Corrado is a senior lecturer of Rural Sociology and Co-Development and Migrations at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Calabria. Her research activity revolves around rural development, international migrations, and agri-food systems. Recently she begun to focus on the study of (migrant) labour in the agri-food system, on foreign immigration in rural areas, and on movements for food sovereignty and peasant agriculture. She co-edited the volume Migration and Agriculture. Mobility and change in the Mediterranean area (Routledge 2016).
