Dr. Cheikh Cissé is an urban planner and geographer, lecturer, and consultant in urban development. He is an affiliated researcher at the African Studies Centre, Leiden University (Netherlands), where he has developed expertise in urban planning and sustainable development. 

His work focuses on analyzing contemporary challenges facing cities—particularly in Africa—including sustainable housing, sustainable transport, climate change, and ecological and energy transitions. Through his research and consultancy work, he promotes innovative solutions for resilient and sustainable cities.
