Multilateralism 2.0 - In Search of New Partnerships for the German and European Foreign Policy

After Germany and France launched an Alliance for Multilateralism at the margins of the UN General Assembly in September 2019, the 20th Foreign Policy Conference of the Boell Foundation explored this concept in depth and addressed the following overarching questions:

Who are those like-minded partners, and which policy areas could and should cooperation be focusing on? What could new global partnerships contribute to specific challenges - such as combatting climate change, fair international trade and secure sea-lanes - to keep the nervous system of a globalised world intact?

We tried to do just this at our 20th Foreign Policy Conference, which took place in Berlin on 30-31 January 2020.
