Wibke Brems is the parliamentary group leader of the Green Party in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. She is a qualified electrical engineer specializing in renewable energies. She has been a member of the NRW state parliament since 2010 and was spokesperson for energy policy and climate protection, mining safety and anti-nuclear policy until her election as parliamentary group chair.

Wibke Brems has been a member of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen since 1998. Since 1999, she has been a member of the Gütersloh City Council, and from 2004 until 2021 she was a member of the council. She has also held the positions of local and district chairwoman, district chairwoman in East Westphalia-Lippe and member of the NRW state executive committee.

Wibke Brems was born in Bremerhaven in 1981 and has lived in Gütersloh since the age of 7.
