Lakshita Kanhiya is a human rights advocate and scholar from Mauritius, currently serving as the Asserting Contested Rights (ACR) Legal Associate at the Initiative for Strategic Litigation in Africa (ISLA) and a Doctor of Law candidate at the University of Pretoria. Her work focuses on the intersections of religion and sexuality, climate justice and digital surveillance. She was selected as a fellow for the Feminist Foreign and Development Policy Fellowship of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Foundation for the CSW69, where she contributed to critical conversations on feminist funding justice, power redistribution, and activist-led social change.
