Bodo Weber is a member of the Democratization Policy Council in Berlin. He does a doctorate in sociology at Hannover university. His doctoral thesis deals with post-socialist ethnonationalism and ethnic violence in post-Yugoslavian societies. He analyses nationalistic ideologies, political regimes, dynamics of violence and economy of war in the 1990s. Weber was employee at "Bosnienbüro Frankfurt" and editorial journalist of the magazine "Perspektiven" (Frankfurt/Main). Since the 90s, he published several articles and policy papers about state and society in the Balkans.
