Dr. Dina Wahba is a Senior Researcher at the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute in Freiburg . She holds a PhD in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin, where her research focused on affect, emotions, and political participation in Egypt. Her work lies at the intersection of gender studies, affect theory, and Middle East politics, with a particular focus on masculinities, militarization, and marginalized communities. She is the author of Counter-Revolutionary Egypt: From the Midan to the Neighborhood (Routledge, 2024).
