Ingrid Hausinger de Kafie graduated in Geoecology from the University of Bayreuth, Germany. She also holds a master's degree in Hydrology and Ecological Modeling. For 14 years, she has worked in Central America on international cooperation development programs in the areas of environmental and climate governance. She has extensive experience in the management of common goods, social coordination processes for environmental advocacy, and facilitation of gender democracy and ecofeminism processes.
Since June 2017, she has served as Coordinator of Political Ecology, Climate Change, and Gender Democracy at the Heinrich Böll Foundation Office in San Salvador. From there, she promotes the coordination of actors in the region and socio-ecological transition processes for a more just and inclusive society. She is currently the Regional Director of the Boell Foundation for Central America.
