Jana Prosinger (born 1986) has been head of the International Gender politics and LGBTIQ+ department since 2016. She heads the global unit for feminism and gender democracy of the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After studying social sciences, development, violence and conflict studies in Cologne, Dar es Salaam and London, she was the coordinator of the Tanzania Networks as well as the GIGA Institute, since January 2013. From September 2014 she worked as personal advisor to the board of directors member Barbara Unmüßig at the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation.
