Since 2024, Jochen Luckscheiter heads the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s Regional Office in New Delhi. Prior to this, he led the Foundation’s Country Office in Abuja, Nigeria. Before that, he served as Programme Coordinator at the Regional Office in Cape Town, where he focused on international relations and resource governance. He also oversaw the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s Perspectives – Africa publication series.

Jochen Luckscheiter holds a Diplom degree in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin and a Master of Commerce in Development Finance from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town.
