Laia Ortiz Castellvi is Deputy Mayor for Social Rights in the City Council of Barcelona, President of the Municipal Institute of Education of Barcelona, President of the Municipal Institute for the Disabled, and President of the Municipal Institute of Social Services. Besides, she is is Vice-President and Spokesperson for the political party Iniciativa per Catalunya Verds.
