Dr. Ole Meinefeld studied in Bremen, Berlin, Basel, Freiburg and Sussex. He holds a doctorate from the Humboldt University in Berlin. His work focuses on democratic theory, theories of the public sphere, theories of justice, political symbols and the history of political ideas. Ole Meinefeld is head of the Green Academy, a think tank of the Heinrich Boell Foundation.
