Rainer Hörig

Rainer Hörig, born 1956 in Bonn, studied journalism, ethnology, Hindi scienes and dramatics at the Freie Universität Berlin. After getting married to a Hindi German teacher, Hörig settled down in Pune near Bombay in 1989. Since then he was working as a freelance correspondent for various radio programmes of the state-owned German television channel ARD, for daily newspapers and magazines. Both his documentary photo essays and some respectable book publications round up his portfolio.
