Renato Cosentino is a researcher at the Laboratório Estado, Trabalho, Território e Natureza (ETTERN; Laboratory for State, Work, Territory and Nature Laboratory) from the Institute of Research and Urban and Regional Planning at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ; Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). He is an expert, master, and doctoral student at the same institute. As communications advisor to the NGO Justiça Global he focused on the area of right to the city. He is a member of the World Cup and Olympics Popular Committee of Rio de Janeiro.
