Rual Lian Thang holds an MA in International Development Studies from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. He joined the Heinrich Böll Stiftung in 2013 as the Natural Resource Governance Program Coordinator of the Myanmar office and works on promoting  the democratic governance of natural resources. He also lobbies for the rights of local communities to participate in the decision-making of development projects in the country.
