Petra Kelly Prize Since 1998 the Heinrich Böll Foundation has been recognising people and civil society organisations for their outstanding achievements in respecting human rights, fostering non-violent conflict resolution, and protecting the environment with this prize. The award is endowed with € 10,000.
Zhang Sizhi - Outstanding Commitment to Human Rights and the Rule of Law in China The Heinrich Böll Foundation has awarded Chinese defence lawyer and human rights advocate Zhang Sizhi with the Petra Kelly Prize 2008. Sizhi is known among Chinese lawyers as “the conscience of lawyers”.
