Fact Sheet

Refugee Women*, GBV and the Crisis of Global Responsibility

When Funding Disappears, Violence Expands

Funding cuts are forcing many frontline and refugee-led organizations to reduce or suspend their work, leaving already marginalized communities at greater risk of exploitation, abuse, and exclusion.

At the same time, the loss of resources undermines opportunities for meaningful participation and advocacy, as community leaders are compelled to focus on immediate survival needs. Without sustained support, both protection systems and the voices of those most affected by violence are at risk of disappearing.
