The 2022 Anne Klein Women’s Award goes to Yosra Frawes. As a lawyer, she took up the fight for legal equality between women and men in Tunisia during and after the Arab Spring and is committed to upholding human dignity, both in Tunisia and internationally.

Information on the Anne Klein Women's Award

In honor of Anne Klein, the Heinrich Böll Foundation awards the Anne Klein Women’s Prize. As a tenacious lawyer and an openly lesbian politician, Anne Klein was a pioneer of the feminist movement. She was the first feminist female senator in Berlin. Each year, this prize recognizes women who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to advancing gender democracy. The prize is endowed with €10,000.
