Das Heinrich-Böll-Haus Langenbroich
Artists around the world take a stand on political and social issues. Through their commitment to freedom of thought, they make a valuable contribution to the development and preservation of democracy and human rights. The Heinrich Böll Foundation supports this commitment through its scholarship program in cooperation with the city of Düren.

Support for artists and musicians
In cooperation with the city of Düren and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, nearly 150 guests from Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern and Southeastern Europe have been invited since the Heinrich Böll House Langenbroich e.V. association was founded in 1989. The house, acquired by the Böll family in the 1960s, has become a quiet place of work and exchange for artists from all over the world.
The Heinrich Böll House Langenbroich is part of an international network of institutions that support politically persecuted authors.
The scholarships usually last four months and provide €1,250 per month in funding. Preference is given to artists whose work is restricted or even prevented in their own countries, usually for political reasons.
