Peace Film Prize Published: 17 September 2013 Since 1986 it is a firm part of the International Filmfestival Berlin and worldwide the only peace film award in an A-festival. The Peace Film Prize is awarded in the form of a bronze sculpture by Otmar Alt and includes prize money of 5,000 euros.
The Anne Klein Women’s Award Published: 17 September 2013 In honour of Anne Klein we have created the Anne Klein Women’s Award. Anne Klein, a dedicated lawyer and openly lesbian politician, has been a pioneer of feminist causes. The prize is annually awarded to women who have shown exemplary commitment for making gender democracy a reality. The award is endowed with 10.000 €.
Hannah Arendt Award Published: 17 September 2013 This annual award was created to honor individuals who identify critical and unseen aspects of current political events and who are not afraid to enter the public realm by presenting their opinion in controversial political discussions.It is funded by both the state government and the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Bremen and awarded by an international jury.
