With the new Feminism Now! Award for Feminist Activism, which comes with a prize of 10,000 euros, the Heinrich Böll Foundation honors courageous feminists. Nominate a candidate for the 2027 award by August 31, 2026.

The 2026 Anne Klein Women's Award goes to Senegalese women's rights activist Awa Fall-Diop. As a pan-African feminist, she has been campaigning for gender equality for decades, often at the expense of her personal freedom.

This dossier features the stories of resistance and young feminists’ perceptions of the world. It emphasises the resilient nature of the people who are making choices that do not conform to laws or customs - or whose views have long been disregarded.

The Anne Klein Women's Prize 2025 goes to three Belarusian feminists. The women's and human rights defender Irina Alkhovka, the feminist blogger Darya Afanasyeva and the feminist activist and politician Julia Mickiewicz - they are all targets of state persecution and repression and are currently forced to continue their work from exile in Europe.

The Global Feminist Pitch supports young feminists from Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia, Africa, Middle East and (South)East Europe in making feminists and feminist movements worldwide visible through different formats.

The Ukrainian feminist and women’s rights activist Yuliya Sporysh is to receive the Anne Klein Women’s Award 2024. Yuliya Sporysh founded the non-governmental organisation "Girls" in Kyiv in 2019.

This discussion series on feminist narratives aims to raise awareness of the need for greater unity among feminists. We sometimes do not realise the harm that may be done by excluding groups of people or making the wrong language choices.

The Anne Klein Women's Award 2023 goes to the Syrian lawyer and women's and human rights activist Joumana Seif, who has spent the past decade in forced exile in Berlin.

Environmental and climate crises are not gender neutral. They disproportionately affect people already facing multiple forms of discrimination. The Turkish lawyer and women's rights activist Cânân Arın receives the Anne Klein Women's Award 2021. The lawyer has been campaigning for women's rights and self-determination for over 40 years.
